I weighed 25 stone. Obese. Stuck on the couch. Out of breath tying my shoelaces. I'd tried every diet that was being sold — clean eating, fasting, low-carb, Slimming World, Weight Watchers, carnivore. None of them survived past the first stressful week.
What changed wasn't a magic plan. It was an architecture. Building food around my life — not against it. Training around the kit I had. Coaching myself through the months no one talks about, not just the eight weeks of suffering before a holiday.
Today I coach professionally — 1-to-1 clients across the UK as an online coach and personal trainer, plus sports strength and conditioning work. The same principles I used to rebuild myself are the ones I build my clients' programmes around.
The lived experience matters. When a client tells me they couldn't finish a session, ate the whole pack of biscuits, or they're going on holiday and don't want to ruin everything — I've been there. I know exactly what to do next.
